# Set up a sending domain

Use a domain the customer controls and verify the sender identity before a production broadcast can start.

## Agent-led setup

Fonte should inspect the selected domain and return the exact provider-neutral DNS records and verification state. An agent may apply them through a DNS integration the customer has already authorized; otherwise it gives the customer a focused handoff.

Verification pending is a blocker for sending, not for safely importing an audience or preparing the message. Readiness must name the missing records and the next verification step.

## Before production

Domain verification does not guarantee delivery or inbox placement. The reviewed broadcast still requires a ready sender, applicable production authority, and current sending eligibility.
