Send and monitor a broadcast

Your message is written, your sender is ready, and you have checked a test in your inbox. Now you can send it to your audience. Open the draft from Broadcasts to review the send.

A test email and a broadcast are separate actions. Sending a test does not send to your selected audience, and opening a sending review does not approve it.

Open Send in the editor and confirm the recipients. Fonte checks the saved message, current audience and sending authority before offering Send now.

• Check the recipient count. It reflects the reviewed audience, not your total workspace population.
• Check your selections in To, including any excluded contacts. Existing unsubscribes, permission restrictions, and sending exclusions still apply.
• Under the new Pay as you go offer, check Eligible, Unlimited, and PAYG counts. If Billing action required appears, the billing owner resolves the requested financial action in Billing; keep the same saved Send.
• Sender, reply-to and subject stay in the editor. Fonte checks the saved message and sending terms automatically.

If you change the draft after reviewing it, prepare a new review before approving. A missing sender, unavailable review, or empty eligible audience needs attention first; the editor keeps the send unavailable until the required details are ready.

When the review looks right, choose Send now. That approval is for this reviewed message and audience. Fonte saves the send so you can follow the same broadcast afterward.

Wait for confirmation. If Fonte is still confirming the send, keep that attempt while it checks the result. Closing a tab or losing a connection is not a reason to create another broadcast and send the same message again.

Once sending is confirmed, you can leave the page and return to the same broadcast from Broadcasts. The work continues without keeping your browser open.

Open the broadcast to see its current status and results. The page updates while there is work to follow; you do not need to keep refreshing it.

• Preparing or Queued means Fonte is getting the saved send ready.
• Sending means the broadcast is being processed. The accepted count records messages accepted for sending, not messages confirmed in an inbox.
• Waiting or Confirming results means some work or outcomes are still being resolved. Follow the notice shown with the status.
• Paused means further sending is on hold. Messages already in flight can still finish.
• Completed means the sending work has finished. Check the results: it does not mean every recipient received the email.
• Ended means further sending was permanently stopped. The results so far remain available.

Delivery feedback can arrive after sending finishes. If you see Updates delayed or unavailable numbers, Fonte is showing what it can confirm. A dash means a count is unavailable, not zero.

The results sidebar separates Delivery, Opt-out, and Engagement. Select a result to inspect the matching recipients; use Show links to look at link activity and Show email to revisit the message.

• Delivered means a delivery confirmation was reported. It does not guarantee placement in the main inbox.
• Bounced means the message could not be delivered. Suppressed means the delivery service held it back from sending.
• Unsubscribed and Complained show people who opted out or reported the email. Respect those choices when planning your next broadcast.
• Opened and Clicked are estimates. Email apps can open messages automatically, and security services can follow links before a person does.

Sending acceptance and delivery are different stages. A known failure or refusal is different from an unknown outcome, too. An unconfirmed result needs checking; it is not proof that nothing was sent.

The groups describe different facts about the same people. Someone can be delivered, opened, and clicked, so adding every result together will not give you the audience size.

Use the controls on the broadcast you are already following. Fonte shows the actions available for its current state.

• Pause holds further sending. Allow messages already in flight to settle; their results can keep changing.
• Resume continues the same paused broadcast. It does not create a replacement send or start the whole audience over.
• To stop permanently, open the more menu and choose End broadcast. Read the confirmation, then choose End broadcast again. The results so far stay available, and this broadcast cannot be resumed.

Pause and End cannot recall an email already accepted for sending. If a control is not yet confirmed, use Check status and follow the existing broadcast instead of issuing replacement sends.

When a broadcast is backed by a card authorization, its original financial deadline still applies while paused. Pause, Resume, retry, or reopening the page does not extend it. Fonte must end that held broadcast before the authorization closes; once ended, it cannot resume. Keep the original broadcast to follow confirmed results and payment status.

Fonte may show that a send confirmation is delayed, status updates are delayed, or the broadcast needs attention. Read that notice first: it tells you whether sending is still being confirmed, work is waiting, or you need to fix something.

Use Check status when offered. Keep the existing broadcast and any reference shown under Support details. Refreshing a status check is different from approving another send; an uncertain result should lead back to the original work.

An agent can help prepare the message, explain the review, and report progress when it has a supported Fonte connection. Connecting the agent alone does not authorize an audience send. Approval must cover the particular reviewed broadcast, whether you approve it directly or have already given a specific delegation that covers it.

Have the agent keep the broadcast reference and report confirmed results, including any failures or uncertainty. It should check and continue the original broadcast after an interrupted response, with the same sender, audience, billing, and sending restrictions.
